ABOUT US

Our Mission:

The mission of O.A.A.A.S. (Organization for the Advancement and Support of Survivors) is to empower and educate women and children who have been victims of family or domestic violence. We strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where women and children can rebuild their lives, regain their independence, and move forward with strength and confidence.

As a non-profit organization, O.A.A.A.S. bridges the gap for women and children who have exited emergency shelters by offering essential resources and support as they transition to permanent housing. Our mission is to ensure that these women and children are not left to face the challenges of rebuilding their lives alone but have the continuous support they need during this critical phase.

O.A.A.A.S. provides a comprehensive Women’s AfterCare Program designed to create a sustainable and empowering environment for our clients. This program includes weekly support groups, individual advocacy, community meals, social activities, spiritual support, and organized family outings. Each woman in the program receives personalized assistance from a dedicated staff advocate, who helps connect her to vital community resources while guiding her toward her personal goals. These goals may include education, employment, legal support, financial independence, parenting, and mental health counseling.

Our ultimate vision is to provide a holistic, trauma-informed support system that enables women and children to heal, thrive, and create a brighter future for themselves and their families. Through consistent advocacy, empowerment, and comprehensive care, O.A.A.A.S. is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
